Description: ELRIG’s flagship conference Drug Discovery 2019 is well attended by academics and industry alike, and includes sessions focussing on the underlying science behind better drug discovery. This year’s conference will be centred around ‘A Look Back to the Future’ and will include plenary introductions assessing how we got to where we are now and setting the challenges for discovering the drugs of the future. These will be followed by cutting edge talks and examples of new directions in drug discovery. Charlotte will be speaking at this conference.

Description: The Young Modellers’ Forum (YMF) is a popular and free one-day conference which provides the opportunity for research students to present their work — either as a talk or a poster — to audiences with an interest in the field. Description: The annual PEGS meeting. Last year, 2700 world-renowned experts, visionaries, and influencers from top pharma, biotech, academic, and government institutions gathered at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. The conference program is split into protein engineering, oncology, immunotherapy, expression, analytical, immunogenicity & bioassays, bioconjugates, therapies & technologies and short courses/training seminars. A 2020 immunotherapeutics workshop hosted by OPIGlets will be announced shortly! Charlotte will also be presenting at the European meeting in Lisbon this November.
Intelligent Systems in Molecular Biology (ISMB)/European Conference on Computational Biology (ECCB)

Description: This meeting touches on nearly every sector of systems and computational biology. Last year, eleven OPIGlets with diverse backgrounds across protein folding, immunoinformatics, network analysis and cheminformatics attended and presented at the joint ISMB/ECCB conference in Basel*. Communities of Special Interest (COSIs) split the extensive programme into more manageable, subject-specific chunks.
*ISMB and ECCB biennially hold a joint conference, last year in Basel. In even years, the two conferences are held in different venues.
RSC-BMCS AI in Chemistry

Description: This annual conference (since 2018) is hosted by the Biological & Medicinal Chemistry Sector (BMCS) and Chemical Information & Computer Applications Group (CICAG) of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Description: Our immunoinformatics work increasingly uses large immunoglobulin sequencing (Ig-seq) datasets. This conference brings together the scientists creating this Ig-seq data, the informaticians studying it, and the industrialists trying to incorporate it into their therapeutic design pipelines.

Description: This biennial conference focuses on recent advances at the intersection of Big Data, Small Molecules, and Macromolecular Protein Structures.
